Synopsis

SYNOPSIS: Snow falls hard on the Viking Retail Park branch of fast-food giant 'Burger Fantastic' as staff members Maladite, Russ and Shannon work the Christmas Eve graveyard shift. They later discover an intruder and using a lethal weapon found in lost property, accidentally slay Santa Claus. Under Maladite's guidance they race to not only conceal the body but also avoid being found out by returning manager Gavin.

The Cast List

JOSEPH MALADITE (25): An affable, brainy but often timid trainee manager (in at the deep end with no extra pay) at the Viking Retail Park branch of fast-food giant Burger Fantastic. The piece's everyman, reluctant spokesperson and voice of (mostly paranoid) reason.
SHANNON WYATT (23): Neighbourhood radical and General Assistant (demoted disgraced former trainee manager) at the Viking Retail Park branch of Burger Fantastic. An opinionated, narcissistic musician intent on forwarding her career no matter what the consequences. .
RUSS MCKEE (29): General Assistant at Burger Fantastic, a dashing but careless, selfish, scheming and conniving chancer. A fly in the management's ointment, preferring a life of freeloading and partying, viewing his occupation as an inconvenient interruption of his social life.
GAVIN RICHARDS (24): Duty Manager at Burger Fantastic, a conscientious, conservative, conformist workaholic. He operates staunchly by the book and tries (albeit unsuccessfully) to square bash his lackadaisical and unruly staff into model employees..
MRS MALADITE(50's): (Voice Only): Maladite's overbearing mother.
SANTA (Ageless, timeless): Unlikely homicide victim. Would be (i) Played by the same actor playing Gavin and then substituted for a dummy during the blackout between scenes three and four or (ii) Be played by a fifth, non-speaking actor.
RADIO ANNOUNCER: Male or Female of any age.
